Dr. Mary Peters has recently joined the staff at Battelle for Kids as the director of research and value-added services. Her work there is focused largely on teacher effectiveness and the use of value-added information for the purposes of school improvement. She manages the statewide professional development rollout of the value-added and growth measures adopted in Ohio as part of its accountability system. Mary has served as a value-added specialist for a large school district as part of her role as the director of assessment and research. Previously, Mary held positions at the K–12, higher education, and state policy levels.
