M Miller

Marcy "M" Miller joined the Alliance in January 2008. Miller is a Washington State certified teacher and has been an educator for eight years in public, private, and alternative settings. In her last position, she taught math and language arts at an alternative middle school in Seattle, WA with a focus on integrated instruction, community collaboration, and anti-bias curricula While earning a Master degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Washington, Miller worked as a research assistant on the PATHS study which explored how students use evidence and cause in argumentation in science and history classes. Her thesis work focused on issues related to attrition in early career teachers. Miller received her BS in communications at Boston University and spent a year studying inter-group communication as an instructor at Boston University's Sargent School of Outdoor Education.
