Morning Announcements Georgia and Connecticut adopt the common core standards.  And Massachusetts Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education Mitchell Chester believes that the common core state standards are as good as, and in some cases better than, those of Massachusetts, according to The Boston Globe.

After the Houston Independent School Districts offered to pay Advanced Placement testing fees, participation levels jumped 47 percent from 2009.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that some teachers moving to Nevada struggle with the licensing process.
