DeAnna Duncan Grand
DeAnna Duncan Grand joined the Alliance in September 2011 as director of sustainability. Prior to joining the Alliance, Dr. Grand was the development officer for the NEA Foundation where she helped secure grants and sponsorships to support the Foundation’s work.
Throughout her twenty-one years in nonprofit administration and development in the Washington, DC area, Dr. Grand’s work has focused on education, youth development, and the performing arts. Organizations with which she has worked include America’s Promise Alliance, Association of Science-Technology Centers, Duke Ellington School for the Arts, Source Theatre Company, Fairfax Symphony, and Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.
Dr. Grand received an EdD degree in education policy and practice from the University of Maryland, College Park; a master’s degree in theatre, film, and television from the University of California, Los Angeles; and a bachelor’s degree in political science, also from UCLA.
