Alysia Snell is a Partner of Lake Snell Perry Mermin/Decision Research, a national political research firm that was established in 1995 by Celinda Lake, one of the Democratic party's leading strategists. The principals of Lake Snell Perry serve as tacticians and senior advisors to dozens of Democratic incumbents and challengers at all levels of the electoral process, as well as to a wide range of advocacy organizations and foundations.

Alysia is an expert on framing tough issues, such as reproductive choice. Since she began working with Lake in 1991, she has served as an analyst for a variety of Democratic candidates and issue campaigns. Alysia has designed and analyzed public opinion research, including extensive focus group and survey research, on a wide range of issues including children, education, women's issues, and reproductive choice.

Alysia is based in Richmond, Virginia, and focuses her attention on several issue areas, including children (Children Now, Maryland Committee for Children), afterschool programs (Afterschool Alliance), education (Public Education Network, Alliance for Excellent Education, American Federation of Teachers), the environment (Sierra Club, Defenders of Wildlife, American Rivers), women's issues (Center for Women Policy Studies), and reproductive choice (Planned Parenthood Federation of America, California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom).

A native of Richmond, she holds a Masters degree in Political Science and Public Opinion from American University, and a Bachelors degree in American Government from the University of Virginia.
