Ace Parsi



Policy and Advocacy Associate

Ace Parsi joined the Alliance in February 2010. Prior to joining the Alliance, Mr. Parsi served as policy director for the National Service-Learning Partnership (NSLP) at the Academy for Educational Development and a steering committee member of Service-Learning United. His focus there was on promoting active learning approaches as a means to reduce dropout rates and risk behaviors and encouraging college, career, and citizenship readiness. Before serving in this role at NSLP, Mr. Parsi received his master's in public policy degree from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley in 2009. Through this experience, he did research on California school finance reform for the Earl Warren Institute for Race, Ethnicity, and Diversity and research on multiple pathways for the James Irvine Foundation. Before attending graduate school, he served as an AmeriCorps member at Fair Oaks Community School in Redwood City, California.
