Jason Amos is the most senior member of the Alliance staff in terms of tenure, having been with the organization since late 2001. In addition to his communications work, he also serves as the editor of Straight A’s, the Alliance’s biweekly newsletter, and is the author of Dropouts, Diplomas, and Dollars: U.S. High Schools and the Nation's Economy.

After graduating from the University of Virginia with a BA in English and government, Mr. Amos worked for three years in the office of Congressman Nick J. Rahall (D-WV). During college, he worked as a day-care teacher for grades four through six.
